Multi-Functioning Playroom Furniture
Sometimes the summer sun is too hot for children to play outside. A playroom where they can play surrounded by the toys they love can be a welcome indoor respite. One that is both fun and functional is even better. Since kids usually have so many toys, the playroom can easily become disorganized and toys can get lost. To keep the playroom from becoming a mess, playroom furniture can also function as playroom storage.
Children's benches can easily double as playroom storage. There are benches which utilize the space beneath the seat itself as a container for keeping toys out of sight when they are not used. The Levels of Discovery Gettin' Around Bench Seat doubles as seating and storage. This particular bench is made of wood painted in light blue with colorful pictures of trains, planes, boats and tractors. The seat is roomy enough to use for reading books or eating snacks. The seat can be easily lifted up to reveal storage big enough for bulky toys. Little fingers are safe because it has a slow-closing safety metal hinge. Its sturdy construction can hold up to one hundred pounds of weight.
Another bench that features a storage compartment is the KidKraft Nantucket Playroom Storage Benches. This type has three wide bins and can also be used to store sports equipment. What is nice about this type of storage is that the separate bins can be used to organize different kinds of toys. The bins can slide in and out easily. The top of the bench can be used for seating or even additional storage. It is made of durable wood and comes in either white or pastel to compliment any playroom interior design.
Make your child's playroom a place of indoor fun by making sure the toys are properly stored and organized. Good-quality playroom furniture that can also be used for storage should be a priority in a playroom. Without it, the room can become a jungle of toys that no child would want to use.
