Grey: The Modern Neutral that Makes for a Trendy Nursery

Baby nurseries have come a long way from being pink, blue, or other pastel colors. In fact, the cool new trend is grey in the nursery! You can have the walls painted grey or get some awesome painted nursery furniture in grey. Why has grey become so popular? It's because it is the modern neutral color. It is the equivalent of white and other neutral colors and it is easy to brighten up with accessories like colorful bedding. In fact, most kiddie stuff from toys to clothes is usually in attractive colors and grey is the perfect backdrop for them.

When you want to join the grey bandwagon in decorating the nursery, you can do it in different ways. You can paint the walls grey or choose grey furnishing. There are many available painted cribs and changers and the modern ones like Oeuf have grey ones. Check out their Oeuf Elephant Crib in Grey and imagine it with brilliantly-colored crib bedding. The neutral grey is a great foil to colourful crib bedding.

Grey is not only a neutral color but it is also practical. It is a great choice if you don’t want to paint the nursery walls very often as your baby grows up. The color is great for a nursery but it is also a good color for an older child’s room. If you want to put a little zest on grey walls, just add wall stickers and decals and you’re good to go. Or you can opt for grey wallpaper. The ones from Ferm Living are fun and whimsical. Check out the Ferm Living Harlequin Wallpaper in Grey.  If you want the nursery to be more gender-specific, complement grey with pink and you will have a very pretty combo fit for your little princess. Grey and blue also work well for a boy’s room.

Don’t be scared of grey in the nursery. It is a classic color that has now become trendy. Incorporate this modern version of a neutral color in the nursery and your little one’s room will definitely become stylish and special.
